Do you want to get certified?  Does the thought of taking a certification test give you nightmares?  Do you have fears about the unknown regarding certification evaluations?  Did you take a certification test but not pass?  Are you already certified but want to attain a higher level?  Is your job at risk because of your struggle to pass a certification test?  Do you have testing anxiety?  If you said “yes” to any of these questions, this event is for YOU!

EDUCATIONAL INTERPRETERS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER FOR ALL SESSIONS.

These workshops will be intensive, thought-provoking, and skill-enhancing.  The complicated language of certifications will be broken down for all to understand.  Hands-on activities will allow participants to actually practice the various skill sets required of them for certification.  Appropriate for interpreters who are seeking certification, certified interpreters wanting to attain a higher level, interpreting and ASL Students who want to learn about certification.  Certified interpreters can earn CEUs.  Participants will create an action plan that leads them toward their goal of becoming certified or attaining a higher level of certification.

The Certification Series Seminar is designed for both pre-certified interpreters (including students) who would like to become certified, and certified interpreters who would like attain a higher level.  Pre-certified interpreters and students will gain an in-depth understanding of various certification evaluations and will develop a plan to pass them.  Certified interpreters will be exposed to techniques and strategies that will help them in their goal of attaining a higher level of certification.

Although you may choose to come to a specific session related to one certification, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you come to the entire event.  By understanding the requirements of more than one certification, you will better understand the skills you need to be an effective, qualified interpreter.  Having an in-depth knowledge of several different certification evaluations will help you pass the one (or more) you really want or need.
