next PEPNet biennial conference, Putting the Pieces Together, will be held on
April 15-18, 2008 in Columbus, Ohio. PEPNet (the Postsecondary Education
Programs Network) includes four regional centers which are funded by U.S.
Department of Education, Office of Special Education & Rehabilitative Services
to enhance educational opportunities for individuals who are deaf or hard of
hearing. This conference will provide opportunities for further professional
development for individuals providing services to this population. Conference
participants typically include administrators, counselors, interpreters, tutors,
and faculty members from disability services, student development, developmental
studies and college-level courses. We welcome interested secondary-level faculty
and staff, adult service providers from rehabilitation agencies and centers for
independent living, etc. to participate in this conference. Workshop topics will
include such areas as best practices of providing services, strategies to
enhance student transition, the use of networking, shifting roles of
professional staff, the use of technology, changing demographics, legislative
changes and impacts, creative funding approaches, support services, career
planning and job placement issues, and other topics of professional interest.
Registration is $250 for this 3-day conference.

Kids' Kamp" welcomes Deaf Kids ages 6 - 17 to DEAF KIDS' KAMP.Since 1992, Sproul
Ranch Inc. "Deaf Kids' Kamp" has provided a FREE one week, residential kamp to
over 500 deaf children ONLY between the ages of 6-17 from the USA and Canada.
Deaf Kids' Kamp is accredited with the American Camping Association. Our kamp
has lots of activities: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, arts and

July 7-12, 2008. Apache Creek Deaf and Youth
Ranch is invited all Deaf people and hearing friends of Deaf people. All Deaf
Mexicans are invited FREE and we used MSL. An exciting week for deaf young
people and adults. All deaf young people ages 8-19 who are still in school are
invited FREE. (If you can pay the $20.00 registration fee IT WOULD REALLY HELP).
Deaf people over 19 or out of school pay $110.00. Bible classes, gospel
preaching and singing highlight these weeks. Everything is done with total
communication. Enjoyable recreation for all ages. Nursery provided.
International Sign Language classes are provided. The camp is from Monday at
noon until Saturday at noon. We have recreational vehicle park for hookups. We
